SMFG India Credit and Singapore’s Fullerton Financial Holdings lease 1.94 lakh sqft office space in Mumbai
SMFG India Credit Ltd, a part of Japanese conglomerate Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG) along with Fullerton Financial Holdings (FFH), an NBFC, has signed a deal with Embassy Office Parks REIT to lease 1.94 lakh square feet space in Mumbai, for setting up its biggest office space in the country.
SMFG India Credit’s Corporate office will continue to be in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai, the company said in a statement.(For Image)
This action is consistent with SMFG's intentions for expansion in India. With this agreement, SMFG India Credit hopes to combine its offices in Powai and Andheri into one large office, the largest in the nation, and create a centrally located back and middle office for more than 2,000 people, according to the statement.
“The decision to lease this new office space reflects our commitment to providing exceptional workspaces for our employees.
The facility will house over 2,000 and we are looking forward to a long-term partnership with Embassy REIT," said Swaminathan Subramanian, Chief Operating Officer at SMFG India Credit.
However, SMFG India Credit’s corporate office will continue to be in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai, the statement added.
